“The Joseph Experience”
Around the age of 17 years old Joseph had dreams that he would rule. The bible says that Joseph was hated by his brothers because he received favor from his father. After Joseph told his brothers the dream the bible says they hated him even more and envied him. As the story goes, we know his brothers sold him into slavery, he came into power over Egypt, and later on in life encountered his brothers. When Joseph encountered his brothers they were seeking provision, after dealing with the emotions he was carrying, he revealed himself to his brothers. He replied to them, do not be angry and grieved with yourselves because you sold me here, for God sent me before you to preserve life. The story goes on to mention Joseph provided for his brothers. Be encouraged today knowing that people may respond negatively to the dreams God gave you, their actions and behaviors may cause deep distress which may carry on for years. What’s amazing is that his brothers didn’t even recognize who Joseph was. We can run with that, when walk in True Identity, people not recognize who you are. I believe we all have “Joseph Experiences” the question is how will we respond. Can we make forgive and make provision (provide or supply something for use) for those who did us wrong? Something to ponder!
