I know you are thinking how can it be a VEGAN SAUSAGE! Well, I don’t know either, but I’m here to tell you there is one and it is AWESOME!
As stated in my previous post I’m new to all things VEGAN. I’m nearing my fourth month! Ok, everybody stop and praise the LORD! It has been a journey. It started off extremely bad, but GOD! In the beginning my search for meat substitutes was horrific, I finally found, wait for it……………Field Roast Sausage, Apple Sage! I don’t like the other flavors and I don’t like the small sausages they make, but I do love this one.
Fire this vegan sausage up with some onions and bell peppers and you got yourself something good! If you want to try something VEGAN start here!
Vegan Sausage Sandwich

- 1 tbsp. Mustard
- 1/2 cup Kale
- 2 slices Tomato (optional)
- 1/2 Sweet onion
- 1/2 Bell pepper
- 2 tbsp Olive oil
- 2 slices Bread
Heat pan, then add olive oil.
Stir in bell peppers and onions and lightly saute. (Don’t cook all the way they will be added later.)
Remove bell peppers and onions and add sausage. Cook for 4 minutes. Then add bell pepper and onions and cook for another 3 minutes, or until sausage is crispy. (I like sausage cooked well.) I
Prepare your sandwich spread mayo and mustard on the sandwich, tomato, and kale. I don’t add the onions and peppers on the sandwich, but you can.
