My new favorite recipe. I love the sweet tanginess of the cauliflower. For me it was a lot at first to put all this together, but once you get the hang of it, it will be a breeze. Hope you enjoy!
Vegan General Tso's Cauliflower
- all purpose flour
- 1/4 cup amino acids
- 1/2 cup rice vinegar
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 tbsp. corn starch
- frying oil of choice
Heat oil on medium heat.
Break apart cauliflower into pieces and soak in water for 15 minutes.
To batter, fill one bowl with water, in another container with lid fill with enough batter to coat cauliflower.
Place cauliflower in water, then place in flour container and shake. You can repeat for crispiness.
Fry cauliflower for 5-7 minutes or until brown.
For sauce, whisk all ingredients together for 7-10 minutes and pour over cauliflower.
