ME: In the midst of this I’ve asked God for wisdom on what to do. I don’t think I have heard from Him yet.
FRIEND: You have plenty of time to wait on an answer.
ME: Sad face
FRIEND: I KNOW! But it will work in the way that it should.
This is the text conversation I had with a friend. You know those moments when you get the sudden feeling that the Holy Spirit is talking to you. Well that was this! Just in regular conversation, it was a overwhelming assurance that God was in control. I have heard this echoed a couple of times during this pandemic.
It’s OK, not to be OK!
I’m a planner. I usually have things mapped out and planned for decades. Now whether I actually do them is another thing (insert chuckle). When this pandemic hit, like most of us, I was completely blindsided. I’m like Lord where’s the warning. In a past life I probably was a private investigator or something (this is a joke people), because I immediately needed information about how this pandemic came to be, the what, who, when, and how. YouTube conspiracy videos, researching well known prophets to see what they said about all this, listening to well-known preachers to see what they said, researching prophecies, asking God, the whole nine. Eventually after exhausting myself I came to just be still and simply know that He is God. We know in parts, and prophecy in part (express messages from God on the Earth). This part I guess I will not know or probably couldn’t understand it all, even if He has answered me. I’ve had several failed attempts of trying to explain COVID-19 to my children, let’s just say that it’s not going the way I had hoped. Answered questions lead to more unanswered questions. What I do KNOW is HE is GOD!
What I have learned through all of this is to BE STILL & KNOW THAT HE IS GOD!
Meditate…calm my nerves…stop stressing..
As stated in the text.
For this time.. I believe God is saying
(1) You have plenty of time to wait on an answer
I’m sure you don’t want to hear that, but wait on the Lord and be of good courage. Again I say wait on the Lord. AKA…BE PATIENT! In the bible, Samuel 13. Saul was supposed to wait 7 days for Samuel, the prophet to come down and make the sacrifice. Saul being pressured and worried about his circumstances made the sacrifice himself. From that action basically Saul was fired and the Lord replaced him with David. Moral of the story, wait on God.
But let patience have its perfect works, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. – James 1:4
(2) GOD KNOWS and it will work in the way it should
God does not sleep or slumber. We are still His Children. This pandemic is not a match for God. Things will WORK in the way that they should. Spend some time with God. There may be somethings in your life that need to be prioritized, rearranged, or simply changed. It’s long overdue for things to start working in the way that it SHOULD. To ramble on have you ever worked so hard at something and it doesn’t work as it should. Your like man, prayed about, planned, and did all I thought was right, but it just doesn’t work out. I hear in my mind when this happens, less work, more faith. (Not by might, nor by power but by the Spirit. Zechariah 4:6)
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lords, thoughts, of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. – Jeremiah 29:11
