I Will Not Be Defeated!
Defeated:
a. having been beat in battle or other contest
b. demoralized and overcome by adversity
Synonyms: doomed, lost, bankrupt, wrecked , broken, beaten, overpowered, overwhelmed, subdued
I got up and ran in the neighborhood this morning. I got YouTube going and the song “Waging War” by CeCe Winans comes on and I’m listening to the words and it was just life to me. The part that really resonated with me, was the following phrase “My weapon of Power, He Lives within, I can’t be defeated the enemy gotta flee, I’m taking back taking territory”. She goes on to sing, “Going into Battle!”
A battle is a fight against organized armed forces, or fight or struggle tenaciously to achieve or resist something.
Most likely, most of us don’t want to fight, we don’t want to go war. We just want everything to be peaceful. We just want peace and love. We want everybody to get along. The bible tells us in Ecclesiastes, There is a time. There is a time to love and time to hate, a time for war and time for peace. Ecclesiastes 3:8
There is a time to go into battle. There is a time to go into fight tenaciously to achieve or resist something. Now, I’m not talking about strapping with guns going out and killing people and blowing up stuff. I’m talking about fighting the good fight of FAITH. The bible tells us plainly, we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
